Evidence-Based Practice

What is evidence-based practice?

Evidence-Based Practice is a term that’s increasingly prevalent today. While discussions about evidence-based approaches have existed in medicine for centuries (dating back to Ancient Greece), its significance surged in the 1980s and 1990s. Essentially, it underscores that everything we do as helping professionals should have a valid purpose behind it.

What does that mean for our therapy?

Good question! If we work together, much of our therapy will be rooted in evidence-based practices that increase the chance of you getting good results. This can include:

  • Tailoring therapy to what feels best for you
  • Creating a concrete goal we’ll work towards together
  • Measuring progress towards that goal each week
  • Changing our approach if what we’re doing isn’t what you’re looking for

In other words, we’ll function like scientists, diligently seeking the optimal formula for your recovery.

Let's work together.
